The mocejete is the bomb. Worth every penny. The  servers are nice and attentive. The food is fresh and hot. The salsa has great flavor. They serve more than tacos too! Menu has steaks and burgers on it as well as breakfast if you need a morning jump start. I'll be back.

Who does the cooking?  I have gone twice, maybe three times because it's the only place in town basically.  Nothing was noteworthy but the margarita.  I don't want to add more negativity, but the food needs help. I just want them to try harder, get a new cook maybe or different recipes.  It must be hard in a sleepy town to not be a franchise, but if the food was better, it would be packed.  I'll list the food I remember having.
    1. Beef tacos:  Super salty.  If something is marinated too long or with tons of salt, are they hiding old meat?  Needs less salt.
    2. Rice: bland. both the Spanish rice and the cilantro rice.
    3. I had the burrito bowl.  I dumped the salsa in it.  Same bland rice and I had chicken instead of the salty meat.  I really wish this place was better.
    4. Breakfast: Pancakes.  I did not read to see if the pancakes were sourdough pancakes or buttermilk pancakes, but they tasted sour. So I told myself, they must be sourdough pancakes.
    5. The place is cute and the people are nice.
    6. Please get new recipes and a new cook who cares.  I would like to go back and write a better review.  I probably will go back as it's the only place in town, and I will try different things until something is actually good or I've had enough and cook at home.

My husband were looking for a good  place to stop of I-5 into a cool A/C restaurant to eat.
This place off Main Street, well kept, clean inside and in your face.

We came in At 12:05 on a Thursday. Most items were off the menu at noon, NO EXCEPTIONS

My husband is a big hamburger nut. He ordered a cheeseburger with everything. It came quickly and looked good. Came with well cooked fries. The plating was great. My hubby has eaten 100's of burgers in 60 years. This was not a fave, very bland without seasoning. The frys were shoestring ( his fave) but cooked a bit too long. All in all his comment but seriously lack luster and very disappointed

I had the wet chicken burritos (3) they were presented will. By then we were on out second pack of chips needed them to scoop the ultra watery, no chunky bland salsa.
    a
The chicken burritos dry. I had to pay another buck to make them wet WTH? Plated nicely, with refried beans, and small bland salad.

The chicken burritos were tasty but the red Sauce was way too tomato like. Tasted more like Spaghetti sauce. I scraped the sauce off and ate the beans, rice and burritos in the tortillas.

All in all, nice place. Very clean DINING ROOM AND BATHROOMS.. Wait staff was warm and plenty.

I don't know if I would eat here again. Other food looks tasty. In our Mexican  food, nice place and VERY EXPENSIVE. 2 cokes, a burger and a plate of wet burritos, ==$36,00. Ridiculous!!!

Sorry to see and write derogatory remarks but it is what we found....disappointing.

Finally decided to try the place after all this time, despite living literally around the corner and walking by it every single morning on my walk. Sadly I was very disappointed to the point of disgust. I ordered a Chile relleno burrito to go and when eating it after I got home, the very first bite had a very strong mold taste and smell. I shrugged it off and continued eating. The taste and smell continued and I began to gag. I cut the side of the tightly wrapped burrito open, to see that the sour cream that was filled inside was all moldy with fuzz on it. Needless to say I had to rush to the bathroom to vomit. Horrific experience that's never happened to me before.

First time there, the restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly (a little slow for stuff), the menu is very limited..,. The name fits it well; it's a glorified taco truck menu. Tacos were okay and wet burrito was okay. Wasn't horrible or anything, but I wouldn't go back. A little over 45 dollars for two adults and one kid to eat and no adult beverages (one soda). Oh and they charge for chip refills which I thought was a little lame.
